What the site is

Silicon Valhalla is an independent directory of Nordic startups, an events calendar and a news digest that links to articles published by others. It is provided for general information.

Nothing on the site is investment, legal, tax or other professional advice, and a company's presence in the directory is not a recommendation to invest in, buy from or work with it.

Accuracy

We curate the directory and the calendar and try to keep them correct, but information comes from many sources, including submissions by the companies themselves, and changes quickly. We do not guarantee that anything is complete, current or error free. Check important details with the company or event organiser.

Editorial picks, sponsored listings and ads

Companies marked Featured are chosen by us and cannot be bought. Paid placements are always labelled: advertisements are marked Advertisement and sponsored directory listings are marked Sponsored. We do not accept payment to change what we say about a company or to hide information.

What you send us

When you submit a company or send a message, you confirm that you have the right to give us that information, that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you are authorised to speak for the company you submit.

You allow us to publish the company information you submit (not your contact details) in the directory, and to edit it for clarity and length. We may decline, change or remove any entry at our discretion.

Using the site

• Do not misuse the site: no attempts to disrupt, probe or gain unauthorised access to it, and no sending of spam or unlawful content through the forms.
• Follow robots.txt if you collect pages automatically, and do not overload the service.
• Do not present the site's content as your own or imply that we endorse you.

Links to other sites

The site links to websites we do not control (companies, events, advertisers and news publishers). We are not responsible for their content or practices.

Ownership

The site's design, text and code are ours or our licensors'. Company names, logos and descriptions belong to their owners and are shown to identify and describe them. You may link to pages and quote short extracts with attribution.

Disclaimers and liability

The site is provided as it is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from relying on information on the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for intent or gross negligence.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version on this page applies from the date shown at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Norwegian law, with Oslo District Court (Oslo tingrett) as the venue.
