Stockholm maker of fully electric trucks for city freight that went into insolvency in 2023.
Volta Trucks developed a purpose-built electric truck for urban deliveries and sold it to fleet operators in Europe. A shortage of capital and the bankruptcy of its battery supplier Proterra pushed the company into insolvency in October 2023. Luxor Capital then bought the British business and assets and set up a separate company, Volta Commercial Vehicles, to continue the vehicle.
